Co-founder Trent Germano has extensive real estate development experience throughout the Southeast. After an early career in construction and project management, he entered the development business as VP of Construction with the Vantage Companies in 1985. During that time, he led the development team for Atlanta Plaza (now Sales Force Tower), a 675,000 square foot office building in Buckhead, and also Central Park in north central Atlanta, where he completed two Class A office buildings totaling 550,000 square feet and all of the project roads and infrastructure. In 1988, he joined Carter & Associates as VP of Development. At Carter, he led the Development Group for over 15 years, became an owner of the company in 1996, and Vice Chairman in 2008. He retired from Carter at the end of 2010, but continued to work with the company on “The Banks” project in Cincinnati. Over a 10 year period as partner-in-charge of development, Trent led Carter to an average national ranking of 6 in office and mixed-use development according to National Real Estate Investor Magazine. During the recession, Carter continued to flourish while developing “The Banks” along with a number of other projects. Trent is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is also a graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology, earning both a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of City Planning degree.
